Chips, cracks, and worn spots don't always mean a full reglaze, but every reglazing job starts with the repairs the surface actually needs.
What we repair
We repair chips, small cracks, and minor surface imperfections in porcelain, enamel, acrylic, fiberglass, and cast iron tubs, typically as the first step of a full reglazing job. In some cases, repair alone is enough to fix a specific problem area without refinishing the whole tub.
Repair alone vs. a full reglaze
If the damage is limited to one small area and the rest of the finish is in good shape, a targeted repair may be all you need. If the tub's finish is worn, dull, or stained throughout, a full reglaze gets you a more even, lasting result, since a patch repair can be visible against an aging surrounding finish.
What we can't repair
Very large cracks, structural damage, or a tub that flexes when you stand in it usually can't be fixed with a surface repair. In those cases, we'll tell you honestly if replacement is the better option rather than take on a repair that won't hold.
